Nov 20: Down Lo’s Farewell Show in Grand Forks TONIGHT at The Crosstown

Catch Down Lo one last time in Grand Forks before they go their separate ways next year in a much needed creative exploration with other players and other projects. They will be on an very extended hiatus.

Their last show will be in Sioux Falls on New Year’s Eve and it will be the culmination of five years of cohesive, creative work between guitarist Mark Grundhoefer, bassman Ryan Nielson, drummer Mike Cini, and multi-instrumentalist Will Nissen. They have always brought good music and a good time to audiences all across the country in over 700 shows. The band members wanted to say goodbye—at least for the immediate future—to some of their favorite venues and fans in the Midwest.

Though Down Lo says this is not an official break up, it is indeed heralds a very long pause before their next show together as a band. In the meantime, they will be writing new material, playing with other musicians, and recording extended projects in the studio. This creative time will be an opportunity for each band member to grow individually both musically and spiritually.

Deploi joins Down Lo in this “à bientôt” tour for it is definitely not one of goodbye but with a “see you soon” sentiment.

We couldn’t do this without you and we want to return to the stage recharged and better than ever.
